why yes

Outstanding rendition. Like the plucked whatever- it is playing the main melody and the oboe on top of it playing the extended voices. Kudos to you for mastering such a complex piece.

doesnt suck

I like this bit.

=The Good=
-Very fun organ licks
-Good floaty tones
-Like the drumwork, nice tom usage
-Loops well
-Could be used in a 3D side scroller where youre running from an object like a large boulder....haha

=The Bad=
-Not much to be honest. Its a bit on the short side but thats fine. I would love to see an extended version with more instruments.

Its alright

This is decent taffy, I just think the glitch effects are way overdone and too random. My personal advice would be too use less of the effects and place more emphasis on making an interesting rhythm and then gradually putting more FX on then. Good luck tho, its very hard to take control of, atleast I think so. Keep it up. I've see you utilized most of the effects tho!

Hahahaha

Great job, its a great remix/cover. I love the rock influences. Your sounds could be a bit better, but I know how difficult/expensive it is too record good tones. I think you could EQ more bass tho, but other than that, very great job. Some more FX on Tay's voice would be great too.

Year of the new review

Very, very cool song! just a tad short. But I cant count that as a flaw considering its a loop.

=The Good=
-Great Asian atmosphere through the superb choice of instruments, love the plucking sounds, and high release rates on those floaty bells. Flute works wonders too.
-Very nice asian melodies
-Soft and relaxing
-Loops flawlessly
-Warm reverb adds to the tones

=The bad=
-Could use some bass
-Rhythmical structure could be a bit more complex, try breaking the 4/4 rhythm a bit with different length notes, repeat some, not a huge problem tho
-Some percussion wouldnt hurt
-If you did some pitch bends on the flute (may not be possible with the VST you use, but it is applicable with soundfonts) that would be great and reflect an asian theme.

Overall excellent track WF1!

yeah, this is actually in a very early stage. Will work on it more when i get some time.

Sounds great!

Excellent guitar work by sorohanro backed up by an excellent oldschool VG sounding mix. I really like sorohanro's flow, and harmonized guitars, really adds to the battle feel. I like the power chord riffs and string scratching too (I forget the term) too. I thought the legato and shredding parts were masterful too, just when you think it wouldnt get any better. Choir sounds nice and tough, and beat works like a gem. Keep it up, this is ace!

rock'tastic!

Thanks. I was very happy when he sent me his second shot with this song. I'm pretty damn picky and he actually found the perfect sound and matched what I was doing with a very professional sound.

This song just gained +10 badass points.

Thanks again for the review!

Brilliant!

Works well for a tutorial loop, nice and upfront, nothing too suspenseful and fast paced for learning, while still retaining a militaristic feel. I like your instrument selection and blending of voices, thought you could use a better bass tho, instead of the synthy one you have. Maybe like a contrabass or something smoother. Like the choice of horns and bell tho! Could be a bit longer too, but 30 seconds is fine enough, I'm just being a tad picky.

sorry for the shorter than normal review :( well good luck composing man!

kelwynshade responds:

Haha, no worries. I'm usually pretty bad about it too. I get all these reviews and I mean to check out their stuff and review back, I just dont get the free time I used to.

thanks for checkin it out. Your comments are always appreciated.

Nice!

This is ALMOST a 9.

=The Good=
-Great asian vibes
-Nice instruments: tibetan bells, taiko drum, jingebells, choirs, synthstrings all work their magic
-Flows very well
-Beat is simple but works for the themes
-I like the warm level of reverb

=The Bad=
-It is a bit presetish

sorry I couldnt give more criticism...as you know I'm in a funk :( But great song man!

wyldfyre1 responds:

no worries man thanks for the review haha =)

Decent playing

This is really good, lots of smooth bits, nice crisp guitar, flowing beat, and ethereal string pads to back it up. But you overdid the sliding, you need more legato and trills and bends to better articulate your playing. A bass would also be a good idea. Other than that great themes, pretty enjoyable track!
