Hahahaha

Great job, its a great remix/cover. I love the rock influences. Your sounds could be a bit better, but I know how difficult/expensive it is too record good tones. I think you could EQ more bass tho, but other than that, very great job. Some more FX on Tay's voice would be great too.

Year of the new review

Very, very cool song! just a tad short. But I cant count that as a flaw considering its a loop.

=The Good=
-Great Asian atmosphere through the superb choice of instruments, love the plucking sounds, and high release rates on those floaty bells. Flute works wonders too.
-Very nice asian melodies
-Soft and relaxing
-Loops flawlessly
-Warm reverb adds to the tones

=The bad=
-Could use some bass
-Rhythmical structure could be a bit more complex, try breaking the 4/4 rhythm a bit with different length notes, repeat some, not a huge problem tho
-Some percussion wouldnt hurt
-If you did some pitch bends on the flute (may not be possible with the VST you use, but it is applicable with soundfonts) that would be great and reflect an asian theme.

Overall excellent track WF1!

Ideas: 8.5/10 Diversity: 7/10 (its short) Clarity: 8/10 Overall: 9/10

wyldfyre1 responds:

yeah, this is actually in a very early stage. Will work on it more when i get some time.

Sounds great!

Excellent guitar work by sorohanro backed up by an excellent oldschool VG sounding mix. I really like sorohanro's flow, and harmonized guitars, really adds to the battle feel. I like the power chord riffs and string scratching too (I forget the term) too. I thought the legato and shredding parts were masterful too, just when you think it wouldnt get any better. Choir sounds nice and tough, and beat works like a gem. Keep it up, this is ace!

kelwynshade responds:

rock'tastic!

Thanks. I was very happy when he sent me his second shot with this song. I'm pretty damn picky and he actually found the perfect sound and matched what I was doing with a very professional sound.

This song just gained +10 badass points.

Thanks again for the review!

Brilliant!

Works well for a tutorial loop, nice and upfront, nothing too suspenseful and fast paced for learning, while still retaining a militaristic feel. I like your instrument selection and blending of voices, thought you could use a better bass tho, instead of the synthy one you have. Maybe like a contrabass or something smoother. Like the choice of horns and bell tho! Could be a bit longer too, but 30 seconds is fine enough, I'm just being a tad picky.

sorry for the shorter than normal review :( well good luck composing man!

kelwynshade responds:

Haha, no worries. I'm usually pretty bad about it too. I get all these reviews and I mean to check out their stuff and review back, I just dont get the free time I used to.

thanks for checkin it out. Your comments are always appreciated.

Nice!

This is ALMOST a 9.

=The Good=
-Great asian vibes
-Nice instruments: tibetan bells, taiko drum, jingebells, choirs, synthstrings all work their magic
-Flows very well
-Beat is simple but works for the themes
-I like the warm level of reverb

=The Bad=
-It is a bit presetish

sorry I couldnt give more criticism...as you know I'm in a funk :( But great song man!

wyldfyre1 responds:

no worries man thanks for the review haha =)

Hahah I love this!

so many types of gross vaginas! and you friend is great a rapping! Love your voice in the beginning

=The good=
-Smooth raps!
-Great chorus singing melodies
-Creative mixing
-Decent beat
-"her vagina has an aroma"
-"brown stains on the front instead of the back" LOL!
- Gonnorrhea of the toes LOL!

-The Bad-
-You guys need to get back together :P

Keep it up!

wyldfyre1 responds:

thanks again for the review man yeah we do need to do more of this stuff! LOL don't think it'll be like this though with how things are going. Thats alright though we'll come out with some good stuff for ya'll!

very catchy

some decent ideas in here. I like the main synthline and choice of pad. It would be great if you took more than 10 minutes and developed the track more...tweaked the presets, made a bassline and a new melody, mixed it a bit. Keep it up.

StompySan responds:

Thanks for your review.

nice vibes!

I like the ethnic feel in this one!

=The Good=
-Great use of sitars and the flute, melodies flow really well
-Nice hip hop beat implimented with choice samples to back it up
-String chords progress nicely, they work well with the rap beat
-Lead Synth in second portion sounds really fresh
-Good sequencing, easy to lay vocals over

=The Bad=
-I feel the sitars and flute could use some verb, although its not necessary for this style
-Track is fine as it is, but its not amazing

Ideas: 8.5/10 Diversity: 7.5/10 Clarity: 8/10 Overall 8/10

I like your sitar and flute usage in here. Stay fresh man!

flashmac responds:

I will! Thanks for the review.

I dont hear the drum and bass in this

but regardless its good for a first track.

=The Good=
-Cool Drum Patterns

=The Bad=
-The track doesnt change at all
-The synth lines are predictable and the synth is not particularly interesting
-You need a louder bassline, and a lead melody. Maybe a nice pad in the background. at the 1:20ish mark its a perfect time for you to introduce something new

Keep at it man!

joshy24 responds:

Thanks for the review, it really helps a lot!

True Ambience

Lovely little ambience piece here...

=The Good=
-Beautiful shimmering textures (how did you make them?)
-Chords are nice
-Subtle percussive elements are a nice touch
-Emptiness makes it sound really nice in its form

=The Bad=
-No flaws really
-Might benefit if there was a sub or lower part in this piece
-A light string or choir pad would be excellent...again, this could ruin the current form of the track tho

Ideas: 9/10 Diversity: 8.5/10 Clarity: 9/10 Overall: 9/10
Will I listen to again: probably. great work!

spamwangler responds:

thankyou for reviewing- i think thats the most thorough review ive ever had- awesome!

it is a bit sparce, and a sub in an ambient track sounds like a good idea.... ill have to give that a try next time im ambulating....
