ss was a user of few words, and very little information is known about the man. Bullied in grade school for being a Chinese immigrant, he is estimated as currently between 29-35 years old, single, and lives in Southern California. He self-diagnosed himself with a fairy-tale speaking disorder, but really he just had a propensity for switching "l" and "r" consonants, a common mispronunciation amongst English speakers who have native Asian tongues. Don't worry, he grew out of the habit by his twenties and no longer hates everyone. But why are you sending me on a wild goose chase dude...ss has nothing to do with me porting programs over...but it will be a pain in the @ss
might as well try, it can't hurt. A problem is some of the necessary .dlls and whatnot might be scattered across various directories. Well I am a cheap @ss and got comfortable with what I had...it's like smartphones didn't get one until late 2014. But once you own new technology you see how much you are missing out on lol
Sure wish I had all my old program CD's and installers, gave 'em to people I thought could handle and/or use them. Guess you could see if any of the programs you're jonseing for are on torrents.
Yeah IDK why I mentioned former user ss, just curious.. thought I might've heard of the condition he was refering to, when I was in speech therapy @t the @ge 5. Really glad the young adults treated me like a small grown up back then, cluing me in on what they learned in college.

Linux doesn't treat you like you're digitally incompetent, is not loaded with bloatware, and updates are free and actually desirable (not disruptive); paraphernalia is more sustainable and supposedly gets you bigger highs; hipster-dom revolves around superficiality so the superfluous attire makes perfect sense.

Know what? It all comes down to planned obsolescence (expect linux), and planned disaster economics. I bet Google is just a high a horse to ride, as the US gov't... there are likely many secret agreements/powerful associations that must be kept well.

Audio crackled on your old computer? Must've been a big handicap in that music production thing! About YT lag, can you watch 1080p movies in full screen without lag? Highest I can go on this computer is 480p.
Well, I'll be back in September to see if some of those jams are bangin' yet. :) 4 and a half was a good mark indeed! I agree these yearly projects easily get a bit tedious, but it seems to go in waves; after those days where I'd rather not have written anything, I'm still glad I did, it's like a creative reminder: keeps the craft fresh in mind. The greatest work however, is indeed usually done at spontaneous occasions.

not in the DAWs/AEs for the most part thankfully, as long as the sample buffer latency was set to a minimum. I was referring to audio in flash & video content. Just streaming audio was usually fine though.
Yeah, so far so good! I was thinking this new gear would get me watching videos more.
