As for the status thing, America used to pride itself on all men being equal, then the Federal Reserve and IRS were created to make a handful of people a shit-ton of money, and turn the US into a privilege based society - it'll all become apparent in a month or so. By then the dollar will be worthless, and DC will look like the WWE.

I'm not really sure what you are referring to/talking about with the "status thing". Anyway all great nations falter, just like Rome, but it's not going to happen in one month.
Well, look at it this way. Sure, life is a dick measuring contest... but does it really matter how long yours is? Or does it matter how you use it and how much fun you have with it?
Me personally? Fuck the contests. I'm going to have fun with what I got. And if someone's impressed by it, then all the better, but I'm still going to put my main focus on the fun of it all. Whether I've got the biggest dick in the whole world, or if it's the smallest, I still have something to twiddle, and I still have something to say "heeey" to the ladies with (if you get my drift). Living is the purpose of life, and I got what I need to live it.
It doesn't matter on a personal level, but it's frustrating to see that it matters to the majority of people atleast in the US.
We tend to lean towards competition instead of cooperation. The media wants to publicize "winners and losers" over ties (I'm referring to the recent political debates). People commonly measure another man's worth based on their income. In turn, brilliant minds go towards careers that are more lucrative, instead of going towards something they are naturally good at and take pleasure in.
anyhow, can't really remember what I was specifically referring to when I wrote this post back in March, I still generally feel the same way though.
